A Reminiscence of Me

Architecture.. I never have thought of it.

Until a few months ago. A few months which made me think on how I was performing, what I have done and what a year (2005/06) it was to me. Much less than a year actually.

For the first time, I had never realised how bad I was doing during my first semester in Centre for Foundation Studies, University of Malaya (or more promptly known as PASUM). The first few weeks there was slick and kinda cool. I was chosen to be the Monitor of A1 Tutorial Group (which for most students is the Top tutorial group for physical stream students) and where most of the students in the herenamed group are supposed to achieve the maximum 4.0 CGPA. But I cant even pass the minimal 3.00 for the first sem.

Such a humiliation. I still remember of being relently asked by my fellow friends regarding my points for the first semester. And how ashamed I was to tell them that I was not up to their expectations.

"Waa.. Fuqaha, ko camne? Sure gempak kan.. Ketua tutorial A1 lak tu.. Dah la asek buat announcement kat dewan, sure dapat high kan?", as asked by Ejat (fondly known as Dewa).

Embarassing it was. But back then, no matter how hard I tried to prepare myself, in the end of the day, during the final moments where I require my full undivided attention to answer the examination questions, an unfortunate incident occured; I choose not the say it here. Heh..

Easily said, I've wasted the entirely first semester for something that was not worthy but in a way played a crucial part in reshaping me. I value the experience; everything that had happened for my future guidelines. Pheww...

The second semester did show my potential tho I was still overshadowed by the incident. Thank god I got 4.00 for the second semester, which cumulatively, the final point would be ranging from 3.00 to 3.50 (wont be telling the exact point!).

And I end up at University of Malaya, taking Architecture and staying at 5th college - but Im going to apply to have me changed to other college, preferably First or Second college coz, hell ! 5th college is soo far away from the Fakulti Alam Bina!
