The Malay College Class of 2004 official website, is my first ever website, built in 2004 using Mambo 4.5. It has gone thru numerous changes ranging from the template, to the Content Management System of choice. In 2005, I migrated the website to Joomla 1.0.4 which was quite a gamble back then. There were a lot of uncertainty, whether to stay with Mambo or to declare allegiance with its fork brother, Joomla. Thank god I made the right decision.

After my first (and only) exam ended last Monday + my final architectural presentation ended last few weeks, I am now bored to death. My daily routine goes from waking up at 2.00 pm, head straight to my studio and just browse the internet. My favorite spots are Malaysian blogs, and Warez-bb.org to get some good movies and songs. Torrent is blocked in my University, thus Ive pampered myself with a premium rapidshare account. Trust me, its worth it. I can easily download a 700Mb movie in 30 min max. Thats blazingly fast.

Thats it, thats what I do daily. Sticking my butt on the chair doing nothing constructive. Thus ive decided past few days to redesign my old website. Gone are clashing javascripts, gone are heavy advertisements from advertlets, gone are unnecessary Joomla modules (which were collected bit by bit during years of the site maturity). I would like to keep this batch site as simple as the Malay College official website. 

On the framework, Ive made use of  (most are my favorite stuff anyway):

• massively modified JoomlaArts' JA Koniga for the template,
  
• Fireboard 1.0.4 for the Forum,
  
• Community Builder 1.2 Beta 6 for the community system,
  
• commercial ClexusPMS for the private messaging system,
  
• hacking CBAuthorbot in order to show avatar of the author (and linking it to his CB profile),
  
• my favorite PonyGallery for the picture gallery,
  
• our Malaysian-made JomComment for the commenting system,
  
• and surely Joomla 1.0.15.

I have tried migrating the site to Joomla 1.5.x tho, but ive decided to roll back to Joomla 1.0.x for I think I should a wait a bit longer in order to get my favorite components / plugins working on the new Joomla 1.5.x framework. 

I would like to personally thank Derred for his comment and also Anwari for letting me to use his computer (mine was stored in my room to prepare for our studios' portfolio review).

I just want to let the users be able to submit their own article, and make that particular website as if a blog. A batch blog that is.
