Eh.. OMG! WTF?!

chat32px.pngNotice there is no single picture in the articles?
Well, I was trying to migrate to Joomla 1.5.2 last night, downloaded most of the backup files and then deleted everything in the server.
Suddenly, OMG! WTF?! Forgot the /images/ folder! Damn.. (3x)

Last week was really, really hectic. We (the 1st year architecture zombies) got to finish up our FINAL, yes Final presentation. The works started a week back actually, but since there were quite a number of tasks need to be done, 10 days seemed insufficient. "Demi masa, Sesungguhnya manusia dalam kerugian.." Theres never been enough time, kan?

Cutting the crap, 2 days after the final presentation (none architecture speaking - as if a Final Exam), we went to Bangkok! Yeay...

We were off to Bangkok on Thursday at 8.50am to be exact, but the journey started the night before. We had no plans at all on the transportation to LCCT (yup, AirAsia). So Anwari, Fahkry and me decided to spend the night at KL Sentral since we wanted to catch the early morning bus. Ever you ride a completely empty Putra LRT? We did. Which in fact the last train for the night. We arrived at KL Sentral at exactly 11:58pm.

Rumor was the skybus service will start at 5pm, so we will need to catch the earliest bus, and meet everyone at LCCT exactly at 6.30 am. That was the rumor. Lucky us, a guard at Sentral told that the earlies bus will be at 3.00am. Thats a good news. Since we got nothing to do / eat, we began to wander around. Our only meal was the bread served at 7-Eleven. Later we just sit outside facing the Hilton / Meridien hotel and began to make a few sketches. Mine were rather horrible!

There was this old man sat nearby, and god knows why, we started to befriend him. It was a bad decision. He seemed to be talking forever! Thats OK, but when he started to boast and god knows what (I think the way Fakhry and Anwari sat patiently listening and angguk-angguk with a few ho-humms fueled him to talk more), I later did my own stuff (mp3s + sketchings + my third bread).

At exactly 3, we were off to LCCT. Frankly, that was my first time there and was really surprised + sad to see the way the Low Cost Carrier Terminal is constructed - metal deck roofings (it is exposed!) and some cheap stuff. Come on, this will be a tourists first impression, why cant we be build a good terminal to reflect its brother, KLIA? Although the name is Low Cost terminal, we dont have to build one that shows such low cost construction. An eyesore it is.

me We arrived at the Suvarnabhumi Airport at approximately 11.00 a.m. and later waited for the bus that will take us to our Youth Hostel. The hostel is located at Soi 25, Sukhumvit Road and was really cheap. A night will cost only around RM29!

"Long Live the King"
That was the first phrase that we saw on our arrival. True, for Thais, King is their God, to whom they place their uppermost respect.

One aspect that really awe me was that the level of cleanliness seen everywhere around Bangkok. You will not be able to see a single trash anywhere on the streets, or public pathways. As told by Mr. Pital, "Thais are really religous. Cleanliness is very high in their religous belief".

We didnt do much that day except getting some rest and getting accustomed to the environment. A thing for sure, IT WAS REALLY HOT THERE! Clouds were really scarce and throughout our short holiday there, it only rain once. A heavy one.
