Sometimes you need to pamper yourself, after long tiring works, dull uneventfull routines. That is what I have done this month and continuing to do so. New MP3 PlayerI bought Creative Zen V Plus. 2Gb version, pearl white with slight olive green color. It is friggin' cute! Capable of playing mp3 formats, videos, photos and also fm radio. I really like the fact that I can add photos and later make it as the players’ background. It is a small feature, but neat and for someone who is addicted to have his name engraved (and personalize) on everything he own, I really appreciate it. Hehe.. The control is awesome (much like Ipods’ – minus the scroll wheels). Navigating through hundreds of song files is easy, tho I can only copy 300+ songs in it – hey, most of my mp3s are of high bitrate (average 192Kbs). As I have said, the graphical interface is almost exactly like iPod. How about videos? Much to my dismay, this particular Zen V Plus uses a proprietary mpg codec of which to view any video in the player, you will need to convert the video first. Not a hard task actually, coz the software needed is already bundled in the installer CD. But it is a hassle I wish not to have. Due to the proprietary codec, the encoded video jumped in file size. A small 10Mb video can easily accumulate 80Mb of the players space after it has been successfully converted. Thats a lot. And till now, I only have one video. Dashboard Confessional – Vindicated.
 Spanking New OS What else? I am using Windows Vista now, since last weekend. Geez, very interactive and user friendly GUI. I have been installing and reinstalling Windows Vista (Business and Enterprise edition) countless time, trying countless tweaks and cracks to activate this pirated copy of Vista (the crack given in the .torrent is useless). And finally, I got the Holy Grail. I managed to connect to a KMS server and activate this Vista! Hey, my version of Vista is no different from the original ones! Here is the proof! 
What is a KMS server? Well, what makes Vista different from any other Windows is that you will need to connect to the internet and verify your copy virtually (hey, XP can do that!). But until know, no hacker/cracker found a way to disable this anti-piracy feature and let users install Vista and activate it without connecting to the internet. So the trick is, creating your own verification server and activate any pirated copy of Vista using the server! My Vista was activated by using this server, pkms.xicp.cn. Located in China. Haha.. KMS stands for Key Management Service server. I have managed to install and activate Vista on my friends PCs. As last check (last night), the server still works.
How? After installing vista, open CMD (Run As Admin), and use this command. cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -skms pkms.xicp.cn cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs pkms.xicp.cn –ato The first command is to tell Vista to change the default KMS server to pkms.xicp.cn, and the second command is to tell Vista to connect to that server and activate it ( -ato ). Architectural Projects? We got our first task for the second semester. It is “Shelter Scape Structure”. And my first design was rejected, only when 4 days left before the submission! It was gruelling. But I thank Mr. Asrul, for without his disapproval, I wont come up with a very interesting design. Hehe.. We will start the presentation this afternoon. 30 minutes left, but I am resting now, after 30 hours non-stop works (not even to sleep) and much worse is, 29 hours of stinking smell! Seriously, I didnt even have time to be back to my room! And so were a few friends of mine. The Bed is always miscalling me, since this early morning. Particularly when my pc played some very syahdu and layan lentok kind of songs. What i did? I simply turned off the pc and began listening to my mp3. Haha.. I was done with the model at 2 a.m. and subsequently worked on two A1 presentation papers. My hands were shaky (as if I was on drugs), and cant really give my full attention. Look at my lines! To know how good any persons’ drawing skills, simply ask him to draw a straight line (and of course without any ruler). Honestly, I admire Murphys’ work. So professional (maybe due to his working experience) and functional! Guess where his idea came from? Pickerel weed! A weed?! Still, his final model and presentation board was... a marvel. Even his mock-up model was (I think) better than our final models! Inspires me so much! 20 minutes left before presentation. Let me end here. Need to have lunch.. Tata! Titi! Tutu!
