What is the most crucial tool when you want to edit a website (in term of codes)?

For me, it is the text editor. It is the fastest way to view and edit the codes effectively. Frankly, I seldom use Dreamweaver, not that it is bad, but because it is too good in doing the task. And I just cant bear waiting 4,5 seconds of Dreamweavers' loading sequence because what all I want to do is edit a simple line of code.

People (and me once) might put their thrust in Notepad for such task. Well, somehow I stumbled upon an editor twice as good as Notepad, while still maintaining the feel and look of the handy editor.

Come Notepad++.

What I like most about this editor is the fact that the codes are presented in color and a handy feature of having line numbers (much like the one you see in Dreamweaver). What else could you ask for?
